A novel investigational device for chronic heart failure

The Alleviant System is an investigational medical device that is being studied in patients suffering from chronic heart failure who are symptomatic despite appropriate medical therapy.

The device is designed to create a connection between the left and right atrial chambers of the heart through a single procedure without leaving a permanent implant behind.

The procedure is intended to reduce excess pressure buildup within the heart, which may reduce symptoms of heart failure such as shortness of breath, fatigue and weakness.
